Easter Egg Hunt!

Just for fun, I have hidden some chocolate Easter eggs around here!

You have the rest of the week to find as many as you can and then PM or e-mail me your list. (For each egg, just write its name and where you found it.) Whoever finds the most is the winner!

I’m not going to say exactly how many eggs there are; but if you reach double-digits I think you’ve done really well!

You can use this thread to discuss how many eggs you’ve found so far and/or which ones. But don’t say where you found them, because that would spoil the game!

Worms Tournament

Yes, we’re finally having a Worms tournament!
It kicks off on Sunday the 13th of January, at about 8:30pm.

If you haven’t already done so, register for it by posting in this forum thread.
Then head over to this page to find out how the tournament will work.
(That’s also the page you should check to see all the latest fixtures and results.)

You can buy Worms HD (arcade) from the XBL marketplace for 800 MS points.

Kellys Heros 2.0

Right, as most of you know the site keeps going down more times than Darth G’s sister. To fix this problem i’ve asked our resident host (Mr SubDivid3r) to give us an upgrade. He has kindly agreed in exchange for my first born or some money. I contemplated with the first born for a while but just went with the money.

Some of you might know that the shoutbox, in its awesomeness, is a bandwidth hog! I really like the shoutbox, i think its a really cool feature so i didn’t want to get rid of it. Instead, we’ve been upgraded with twice as much bandwidth and you should see all the space we have to play around with now T.
So what does this mean to you guys…not a lot. Just know that the site wont go down again…hopefully.

The Official Kellys Heros Signature

Right, my man pepper has been working on this for about 2 weeks now and I think it’s pretty sweet! Pepper has designed a Kellys Heros signature for use in forums (this one or others) which allows you to represent the clan and your pro gamerscore. Just take a look below.

This is a neat little addition to our expanding media…well other than the downloadable game videos. But we may add more in the coming weeks and months. For now, why not generate your own signature which you can do here.

So remember, play nice, leave feedback and REPRESENT! Gansta style! Also, discuss here.

A shop and a few changes

Well the secret project is no longer secret; we at Kellys Heros are pleased to announce the KH shop is now open and ready for business. Now I know what you are thinking, what could we possibly have to sell?

Well me and Torrance, with a little help from Darth Geordie have been creating a number of items using a company called spreadshirt. We create the designs, they make the products, we advertise the products and they sell them.

We have hoody’s, T-shirts, long sleeve shirts, Coffee mugs and even a teddy bear. Now we wouldn’t sell these products if we wouldn’t buy them ourselves, so I bought one of the hoody’s I made and the pictures are below.

We have had a lot of fun making all of these and we will be adding new products all the time. We of course would like feedback on our current designs and ideas for new designs; so you can post them in this thread.

We will also offer a customizable service, where you can request what you want. Whether it’s your own sayings on the back of one of our pre-existing products or your gamertag printed on something, just ask and you shall receive.

Now we are trust worthy people…well, not Geordie, but me and T are, so we wanted to tell you we will be making a small profit on these items. But it’s not a lot; it’s less than £1 on each product and we arranged it so that it is just rounded up to the nearest pound. But we could charge whatever we want, but we don’t want to rob you guys. So the shop is now open and you can now buy things here.

In other news, the site has had a bit of a reshuffle to accommodate the shop. Nothing major, just T being T. So here’s what he had to say:

“The Halo Maps and Videos pages have now been combined to form the KH Creations page.
This category is now broad enough that we can have links to any content created by you lovely people in there; it’s no longer limited to videos.

The videos of our games against iPMS have been moved to the Clan Matches page; a sub-page under the Challenges tab.
This is a permanent home for content to do with Kellys Heros Clan matches. The games don’t have to be limited to Halo, either!

As always, feedback about changes to the site is very welcome. (Either use this thread or send Paul a private message.)”

New Competitions

Yes that’s right folks, it that time of year again, the time of year where I get off my lazy ass and organise a competition for the KH lot. But that’s not all, I’m not organising 1, not 2 but 3, yes count them, 3 events. Well I am organising 2 leagues and tournament.

Introducing, the Gears of War 2 Vs 2 Warzone tournament. GOW has been a smash hit on Xbox Live so I think it’s only fair that we run our own competition.

Next we have our 2, yes count them, 2 Halo 2 leagues. The first is a double team league; the first double team competition was a success so now we will be running a league.

We also have a MLG FFA, so get those BR’s at the ready and get practicing. Depending on numbers, we will be splitting it up into several groups.

The 2 leagues will run side by side and the competition will also run during this time as well. The leagues will run over the course of 8 weeks, with 1 game a week.

Now there is 1 general rule, only people who are in KH or have been at any time in the past, can enter the tournament. For the 2 double team events, both team members must be a member of the clan or a former member. We will be checking our records (i.e. if moose remembers you, lol) and if you are found out to be lying, you will be disqualified.

All of these events are going to kick off on the 1^st of March and registration opens today in the relevant threads and forums. I will be putting the rules up soon (well as soon as I write them) but for now just start practicing.
