A shop and a few changes

Well the secret project is no longer secret; we at Kellys Heros are pleased to announce the KH shop is now open and ready for business. Now I know what you are thinking, what could we possibly have to sell?

Well me and Torrance, with a little help from Darth Geordie have been creating a number of items using a company called spreadshirt. We create the designs, they make the products, we advertise the products and they sell them.

We have hoody’s, T-shirts, long sleeve shirts, Coffee mugs and even a teddy bear. Now we wouldn’t sell these products if we wouldn’t buy them ourselves, so I bought one of the hoody’s I made and the pictures are below.

We have had a lot of fun making all of these and we will be adding new products all the time. We of course would like feedback on our current designs and ideas for new designs; so you can post them in this thread.

We will also offer a customizable service, where you can request what you want. Whether it’s your own sayings on the back of one of our pre-existing products or your gamertag printed on something, just ask and you shall receive.

Now we are trust worthy people…well, not Geordie, but me and T are, so we wanted to tell you we will be making a small profit on these items. But it’s not a lot; it’s less than £1 on each product and we arranged it so that it is just rounded up to the nearest pound. But we could charge whatever we want, but we don’t want to rob you guys. So the shop is now open and you can now buy things here.

In other news, the site has had a bit of a reshuffle to accommodate the shop. Nothing major, just T being T. So here’s what he had to say:

“The Halo Maps and Videos pages have now been combined to form the KH Creations page.
This category is now broad enough that we can have links to any content created by you lovely people in there; it’s no longer limited to videos.

The videos of our games against iPMS have been moved to the Clan Matches page; a sub-page under the Challenges tab.
This is a permanent home for content to do with Kellys Heros Clan matches. The games don’t have to be limited to Halo, either!

As always, feedback about changes to the site is very welcome. (Either use this thread or send Paul a private message.)”

New Competitions

Yes that’s right folks, it that time of year again, the time of year where I get off my lazy ass and organise a competition for the KH lot. But that’s not all, I’m not organising 1, not 2 but 3, yes count them, 3 events. Well I am organising 2 leagues and tournament.

Introducing, the Gears of War 2 Vs 2 Warzone tournament. GOW has been a smash hit on Xbox Live so I think it’s only fair that we run our own competition.

Next we have our 2, yes count them, 2 Halo 2 leagues. The first is a double team league; the first double team competition was a success so now we will be running a league.

We also have a MLG FFA, so get those BR’s at the ready and get practicing. Depending on numbers, we will be splitting it up into several groups.

The 2 leagues will run side by side and the competition will also run during this time as well. The leagues will run over the course of 8 weeks, with 1 game a week.

Now there is 1 general rule, only people who are in KH or have been at any time in the past, can enter the tournament. For the 2 double team events, both team members must be a member of the clan or a former member. We will be checking our records (i.e. if moose remembers you, lol) and if you are found out to be lying, you will be disqualified.

All of these events are going to kick off on the 1^st of March and registration opens today in the relevant threads and forums. I will be putting the rules up soon (well as soon as I write them) but for now just start practicing.

Clan Match: KH vs iPMS

That’s right ladies and gents, tonight is the night where we take on iPMS, and the team is ready, but most importantly, the video capturing equipment is ready; so prepare to be dazzled from the results. We have chosen the following gametypes:

Game 1) Single Bomb Fast - Lockout
Game 2) Team Slayer - Midship
Game 3) Single Flag CTF - Midship - (Touch Return On)
Game 4) Team Slayer Br - Lockout
Game 5) Neutral Bomb - Coagulation

Game 6) 1 Flag CTF - Zanzibar

Each Game shall be recorded, and put into 1 long video, with nothing taken out, well, it might be speeded up a bit, just to cram it all under 150mb, which is my target for the final video size.

I shall update this later with links to videos and game results.

Videos

We just launched the video section and we already have 2 videos already. We have R0z61’s and KH Torrance’s Halo 2 montages.

I love the music used in R0z’s and there are some sweet snipes and stickies in it so check it out. Torrance filmed an ye olde customs night, a customs night that was filmed on my birthday I might add. Most likely the reason I wasn’t actually in it.

Logo Design Vote

OK, so some of you may have noticed a few changes to the front. The banner, which is just a quick jobby, is only temporary until we decide on the winner of our comp. Just head on over to the forums here and vote for your favourite.

You can also notice our new Shoutbox on the right.  Tis very sexy if you ask me, and it’s all real time, so you don’t need to refresh the page for it to work.  Anyway, the official launch is just a few days away now so get voting.

Montages

Ok, I should probably do something with this front page. It will be used for competitions in the future, but for now, I can just pratt about and post stuff.

One of the things I’m going to do is have a page for all the montages or videos that you guys create. Unfortunatly, due to bandwidth and space restrictions, I cannot host any of them. There are several free hosting sites which many of you will know so just upload them there and contact me. I will sort out a link and a little preview on a montage/video page.
